Oh Baby! Bring on SUMMER!

I've come to conclusion that this, 2013 hot/humid summer I am going to strive to follow 

in the footsteps of Ms. Frances Houseman.

Otherwise known as 'Baby.'

'Dirty Dancing' holds a special place in my heart and after revisiting some snapshots of the movie

I have decided I want to emulate 'Baby' every step of the way this summer. 

Denim shorts.
Cotton.Cotton.Cotton.

Neutral tones.

White sneakers.

Soft, flowing feminine dresses...

and lots of skin :)

Purple Fields, Hazy Shade Of Spring

In an impromptu stop on the side of Rt. 340,

Pang and I decided to do a quickie photo shoot in this beautiful field, 

filled with purple wild flowers.

She is teaching me how to use a canon correctly.....so I took a few of her.

She hated it.

BUT TOO BAD.

This girl needs to practice her photographing skillz.

Hay Mickey You're So Fine

This Mickey Mouse t-shirt was a sweet Goodwill find.
Especially love it paired with my boyfriends green military style jacket.

I can't help but to repeatedly sing along to Toni Basil's one hit wonder, 

"You're So Fine (Hey Mickey)" while wearing it.

After a quick weekend trip to Pittsburgh with my Mom

I returned home with a few goodies, found all around the city.

This Insight- Romance dress in Onyx (only $59) is my NEW favorite.

I found it in a boutique called Decade, on the South Side of Pittsburgh. 

The boutique being well organized and the decor was clean and had an industrial feel.

Basically I loved it.

There were many dresses I wanted to take home but shopping on a budget is a must for me.

Black 'n Brown, Old Fashioned

I love vintage dresses.

This black and brown number was given to me by a girlfriend of mine.

Here in our lovely city Shepherdstown we have a few vintage shops.

After our photo shoot Pang and I decided to do a little shopping at a place called Retropolitan.

Also these shoes are a few years old but I also got them downtown at a shop called Steppin' Out. Love it there! Love it here!
